Ever since I spent a summer in Panama, I have been fascinated by the dynamism of the tropics, particularly the tropical forests and its complex web of plant-insect interactions. Before joining the Parchman lab, I spent time studying diet breadths of insects as well as plant chemical defenses. I will continue to focus on these interactions from a new perspective, using population genomics to understand them within an evolutionary context.
